Desperate Housewives: Demi Lovato's Sister as Eva Longoria's Daughter?

According to HON Gossip inside sources, Demi Lovato's 6-year-old little sister, Madison Delagarza is going to be coming to a television set near you VERY soon!! The young actress is following in her sister's acting footsteps (Barney, Prison Break, Camp Rock, etc.) by making her acting debut as Juanita Solis, Gaby and Carlos' daughter on the new season of Desperate Housewives...

In the new season, Gaby and Carlos will have 2 daughters, Juanita and Celia... The Lovato family are moving to L.A. at the end of August into their newly purchased home, so that Demi's siblings can pursue their acting careers... My sources go on to tell me that Dallas has put her singing career on hold so that she can concentrate 100% on acting, hence one of the main reasons for the family moving from Dallas to L.A.!! As well, Demi will begin filming her new show, Welcome to Mollywood which begins production in September!!

Desperate Housewives: Marc Cherry Remembers Estelle Getty

Before "Desperate Housewives," show creator Marc Cherry produced and wrote for "The Golden Girls." Now, he's remembering the beloved Estelle Getty, who suffered from advanced dementia and passed away earlier today at 84.

"She always used to be very quick-witted; she could get a punchline out quicker than anybody," says Cherry about the spunky actress, who played Sophia Petrillo on the hit NBC sitcom in the '80s. "That's a rare talent, and she was kind of amazing, and I'm going to miss her terribly."

"She was the least actressy of anyone in the cast. She was just happy to be there. She was very grateful for what she had gotten so late in her life," he adds. "In my mind she will always be everyone's grandma."

Desperate Housewives: Future Imperfect

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - This much you know, if you watched Desperate Housewives through to the bitter(sweet) end last season: When the ensemble soap opera about housewives' desperate lives in the fictional neighbourhood of Wisteria Lane returns this fall, the story will vault five years into the future.

Marc Cherry, Desperate Housewives's creator and its head writer since its debut in October, 2004, says he got the idea one night while watching Lost. Unlike Lost, though, Desperate Housewives won't flash back and forth in time. The weeping, the hair-pulling, the smashed dishes will be firmly anchored in the future.

Coming up with idea was one thing. Telling the cast was another entirely.

Initially, Cherry said he wanted to vault the story ahead seven years, so the children in the show could be teenagers, and their mothers would now have to deal with teenagers' issues.

"I was thinking about seven years," Cherry said, surrounded by his cast at the summer meeting of the Television Critics Association. "But then my writing staff was, like, 'Well, do you want to go in there and tell those women they're going to be seven years older?' And I went, 'Yeah, five is good.'"
